Documentation
Everything you need to know to get started with Oden C.A.M, manage your WordPress installation, and troubleshoot when things creak.
Getting started
When you sign up for Oden, you'll get a welcome email with credentials for the control panel. The first time you sign in, a short guide walks you through:
- Connect your WordPress site (existing hosting works fine — we don't move your site).
- Activate the WEBBELi worker plugin on your WordPress — it acts as an agent between Oden and your site, but doesn't change any of your content.
- Verify the control panel sees your site (happens within minutes).
- Verify backups — the first one runs within 24 hours of activation.
The whole onboarding usually takes under 30 minutes of hands-on work. The rest runs itself.
The Oden control panel
The control panel is the website you sign in to in order to see what we're doing with your site. It's split into five tabs:
Sites
Overview of all WordPress installations connected to Oden. Status, uptime, latest update, latest backup, and number of warnings.
Updates
Log of everything we've updated — core, themes, plugins. Filter by date, type, or specific plugin. Each update has an associated regression report.
Backups
List of all available backups with timestamp, size, and a big 'Restore' button. Restores happen to a new URL first (just in case), and you flip to it manually once you've verified everything works.
Security
Monitoring status, active threats, latest malware-scan report, and a list of which NNi Solutions employees have accessed your environment in the last 30 days.
Settings
Billing, contacts, notification preferences, and the option to add more sites or cancel the service.
The WEBBELi worker plugin
The plugin we install on your WordPress to manage it remotely. It acts purely as an agent between Oden and your site — it performs updates, gathers metrics, creates backups, and reports back. It doesn't move your site and doesn't change your content other than what we and you decide together (e.g. when we apply a plugin update).
The plugin can be deactivated or uninstalled at any time — it cuts off Oden's access without affecting your site otherwise.
WEBBELi hosting (add-on)
We also have our own hosting platform called WEBBELi. It's a completely separate product — you don't need it to use Oden. Happy with your current hosting? Keep it. Want both Oden and fast Swedish hosting on a single monthly invoice? Add WEBBELi hosting as an add-on.
WEBBELi hosting has the following features built in:
- Caching: Page cache + object cache, automatically purged on updates.
- Image optimisation: WebP/AVIF on the fly, with fallbacks for older browsers.
- CDN: Built in, with edge nodes in Stockholm, Gothenburg, and Malmö.
- SSL/TLS: Let's Encrypt certificates with auto-renewal.
- HTTP/3: QUIC support for faster loading on modern Wi-Fi and mobile.
