Cookie Policy

Which cookies oden.cam uses, why we use them, and how you can control them.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored in your browser when you visit a website. They are used to remember choices you have made (such as language), to measure traffic, or to provide certain functionality.

In Sweden, cookie rules are based on the Electronic Communications Act (LEK 2003:389), which requires consent for cookies that are not strictly necessary to deliver the requested service.

2. Cookies we use on oden.cam

We have deliberately kept the number of cookies as low as possible. The oden.cam website works without tracking cookies or marketing pixels.

2.1 Strictly necessary (no consent required)

2.2 Functional (consent required if activated)

No functional cookies are currently used. If we add any in the future (e.g. for live chat), it will only be after you give active consent.

2.3 Statistics and analytics

We do not use any third-party analytics (such as Google Analytics or Facebook Pixel) on oden.cam. For basic traffic statistics we use server logs that do not store identifying cookies.

2.4 Marketing

We do not use any marketing or advertising cookies on oden.cam.

3. Cookies in the Oden control panel

When you sign in to the Oden control panel (a separate product), additional strictly necessary cookies are used to manage your session. These are described separately in the control panel's own terms.

4. Third-party cookies

When you complete a purchase via Stripe Payment Link, Stripe's payment page is loaded. Stripe then sets its own cookies to handle the payment securely. Stripe's cookie policy is at stripe.com/cookies-policy.

No other third-party services set cookies on oden.cam.

5. How to manage cookies

You can clear or block cookies at any time via your browser's settings:

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
  • Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data
  • Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions

If you block all cookies, some features may stop working — such as the website remembering your language choice.

6. Changes to this policy

We may update the cookie policy when we change the website's functionality. The latest version is always at oden.cam/en/cookie-policy.

We built Oden C.A.M around data minimization, EU hosting, and full transparency — not as an afterthought.

Where your data lives

All Oden data (control panel, logs, backups) is stored in Cloud Run and Firestore in the Finland region (europe-north1). Your WordPress sites run on whichever hosting you choose — if you want to move to us, we offer WEBBELi as an add-on (Scandinavian servers in Sweden). Backups are AES-256 encrypted and stay inside the EU. We use no subprocessors in the US or other non-EU/EEA countries — which means Schrems II concerns simply don't apply.

What data we process

Only what's needed to run your WordPress: your sites' URLs, plugin and theme versions, update history, and cryptographic keys. We never touch your visitors' data — there's no tracking pixel and no ads module.

  • Site metadata (URL, version, status)
  • Operations logs (security events, updates)
  • Backup archives (encrypted, 30 days)
  • Operator identity (your email, for support)

How it's protected

The connection between your WordPress and Oden goes via the WEBBELi worker plugin we install on your site — TLS 1.3 with Ed25519 keys. Stored secrets are envelope-encrypted (Cloud KMS). Audit logs are write-only and kept for 12 months.

Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data. Email hello@oden.cam and we'll respond within 30 days (usually within 48 hours). At termination, all customer data is permanently erased within 60 days — except what we must retain under Swedish bookkeeping law (7 years).

Data incidents

If we confirm an incident affecting your personal data, we'll contact you within 72 hours with an initial report, in parallel with our notification to IMY (the Swedish DPA). The report covers what happened, what was affected, and what mitigations we're applying.

Data Processing Agreement (DPA)

A standard DPA is automatically included — no separate paperwork. It stipulates EU hosting, sub-processors (list available on request), and Swedish law as the applicable jurisdiction. Larger procurements can sign an extended agreement: hello@oden.cam.
